Meme’s Gingersnaps

- ¾ Cup Crisco
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- ½ Cup Molasses
- 2 Cups Flour
- 3 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger
- ½ Teaspoon Cloves
- Mix shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and molasses and beat again.
- Add dry ingredients and mix well.
- Roll into balls and then roll in additional sugar.
- Bake at 300* for 12-15 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
- Cookies will be a little soft and turn hard after cooling.
